I'll be in Nicaragua on July 14. Until then, here is some basic information about what I'm doing, as well as how you can contact me when I'm there!
Through December 3, I'll be studying at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Nicaragua (The National Autonomous University of Nicaragua) through a study abroad program with CIEE. The first two weeks will be spent doing orientation, taking an intensive Spanish class, and getting acquainted with my host family. On August 2, the semester starts. So much for a summer vacation! I'll be taking one class with other students in the program, but my other 3 classes will be regular classes with Nicaraguan students, taught in Spanish. I am looking forward to an exciting challenge.
To keep in touch, I have a cool system set up where you can leave me voicemail messages that I can check from any phone. To leave a message, dial 1-888-579-0208 from any phone. Follow the prompts, then enter my account number: 2122 679 895.
I will have limited access to the internet, so you can e-mail or Facebook me, but I will probably not be checking every day.
